Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina got candid about her slightly nerve-wracking experience working with Aga Muhlach during the "Seven Sundays" Press Conference yesterday, October 8.
The legendary director said this about directing Aga for the very first time:
"Ka-tense! Eh siyempre The Aga Muhlach eh so noong unang araw namin, hindi ko alam kung kaya ko siyang sabihan ng take two, take three, iko-correct kasi Aga Muhlach na siya eh."
She continued, "Best actor ng generation niya. So ang hirap, ang hirap kasi mas experienced pa siya sa akin. Alam ko minsan may iba siyang pagtingin minsan sa eksena, very different from mine."
However, Direk Cathy added that Aga, who is known for being "walang ere," gave her his complete trust.
"What I loved about him was he trusted me and 'yun lang naman ang kailangan ko para mawala 'yung hiya ko, mawala 'yung inhibitions ko, para mas ma-guide ko siya along with the other actors."
“Seven Sundays” tells the story of the four Bonifacio siblings, (Dingdong Dantes, Cristine Reyes, Enrique Gil and Aga), who are forced to return to their childhood home when their Tatay Manuel (Ronaldo Valdez) is diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. The main question is, as they confront their history, will they be able to reconnect and find redemption in each other?
It opens in cinemas October 11!
