Aga Muhlach is all for doing another film with Lea Salonga!
In his Bloggers Conference last October 5, the legendary actor acknowledged that a follow-up film to their 1995 cult classic “Sana Maulit Muli” has been long-requested by fans and revealed that they’ve been planning their third movie for years now. It just never pans out.
“I would like to, and the public would also, do a film with Lea. But ilang years na naming pinaplano ‘yan pero you know, hindi natutuloy…”
However, he assured, “We’ll make it happen, Lea and I will make it happen, we just don’t know when. Lea’s out of the country now, babalik siya June. I’m filming November, and then I have another film that’s starting March. So, papaano ‘yun? We’ll see!”
Aga pressed, “We really owe it to the public. We really need to do one more.”
While we wait for this dream to come true, we can watch “Seven Sundays”, Aga’s first film after an almost 7-year hiatus. It tells the story of the four Bonifacio siblings who are forced to return to their childhood home when their Tatay Manuel is diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. The main question: as they confront their history, will they be able to reconnect and find redemption in each other?
The film, which will also star Ronaldo Valdez, Dingdong Dantes, Cristine Reyes and Enrique Gil, is directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and will open in cinemas October 11.
