"The Ghost Bride" is Kim Chiu and director Chito Rono's second horror movie project together (after "The Healing") and much like before, they prepared for the project not only physically, mentally, and emotionally, but notably, spiritually.
They elaborated on this kind of preparation at the Bloggers Conference of their much-awaited film last October 12.
"Bago naman umere 'yung movie, we always offer the project to Him (God). We pray for our safety... Of course we do prayers before we shoot especially on the first day," Direk Chito relayed.
"I prepared myself. Nag-i-incense-incense ako do'n sa mga temples na I think spiritually, blessed by all religions," he added.
Kim, meanwhile, holds on to her faith.
Aside from protection, Kim also prayed for guidance.
This is one of Direk Chito's masterpieces so parang 'Oh My God, kailangan kong itodo, super todo!' she exclaimed.
"The Ghost Bride" is Kim's first-ever solo movie since she started her career in 2006.
It is slated to be released in cinemas this November 1.
