Why Star Magic Ball is an ‘amazing’ experience for Enrique, Liza

People have always anticipated the arrival of Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil at the Star Magic Ball every year, and of course, they are just as thrilled to be there as well.

In an interview before the event last Saturday, September 30, Liza expressed how glad she was to attend her sixth Star Magic Ball and how much she looks forward to celebrating with her fellow Star Magic artists along with their road managers and handlers.

“I’m happy that I’m continuously with Star Magic, of course. Yearly, I get to see my kapwa Kapamilya, kapwa Star Magic [artists] here at the Star Magic Ball and I’m just so excited to see everybody also. Even our handlers, our RMs, who work really hard for us. It’s like a night of celebration for all of us,” said Liza.

Enrique was excited to see people in the industry come together for the event. He said, “Amazing! Parang kailan lang Star Magic Ball ngayon nandito na naman kami. It’s amazing to see new faces, old faces all back together again.”

“It’s amazing, and this beautiful face right here," the "Seven Sundays" actor added, turning to Liza who was standing next to him.

She was wearing a black dress with intricate gold and silver detail by Christian Dior. It’s a lot different from the dove gray Michael Cinco gown she wowed everyone with last year.

This generation's new Darna explained that she chose the Dior dress so she could freely enjoy the night without worrying about her dress. “Actually last year wasn’t a ball gown. I guess it seemed that way ‘cause of my posture. But I usually like rin very light gowns. I don’t want it to be too heavy, ‘cause then I won’t enjoy. I’d have a hard time walking around, mingling with others, and then matatapakan pa ‘yung dress ko so I always opt to have shorter dresses. Mas flowy.”
