Enrique Gil has come to the defense of his "Seven Sundays" co-star, fresh face April Matienzo.
April, who played Enrique's character Dex's childhood friend Camille in the movie, reportedly received bashing online for her role in the movie.
In his Bloggers Conference last October 15, Enrique divulged that he shared some wisdom in dealing with online negativity to his co-star. He said:
"Sabi ko sa kanya, 'Wag mo sila pansinin.' Iba-bash ka man o hindi, at least ikaw ang pinag-uusapan."
He continued, "Sabi ko, 'Ikaw pa rin magbe-benefit. 'Wag mo nalang silang isipin.' Lahat naman ng tao may opinion eh, so ganoon talaga."
Besides, it seems like the good far outweighs the bad in April's case as you can see in the tweets below:
Yay for positivity in the fandom! <3
“Seven Sundays” tells the story of the four Bonifacio siblings (Dingdong Dantes, Cristine Reyes, Enrique Gil and Aga Muhlach), who are forced to return to their childhood home when their Tatay Manuel (Ronaldo Valdez) is diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer.
The main question is, as they confront their history, will they be able to reconnect and find redemption in each other?
"Seven Sundays" is now on its second week in cinemas!
