If you’re a non-believer of people changing for the better, here’s JM de Guzman to prove you wrong.
In 2014, the award-winning actor came out to the public and confessed to having a drug addiction. Right then, he asked to be admitted to rehab.
In December 2016, JM was awarded for his first year of being sober by the Self Enhancement for Life Foundation, Inc., a center situated at Muntinlupa, Manila.
JM shared a photo of it on Instagram last Sunday, October 15, proud and happy for himself like he should.
“First Sober Year Achievement Award to Juan Miguel de Guzman for his fortitude in achieving one year in the Therapeutic Community program and for his determination to pursue a substance-free lifestyle,” it read.
He wrote on the caption, “2 years this december 2017👊”
His last TV appearance was on the 2015 Kapamilya show “All Of Me” starring alongside Albert Martinez, Yen Santos, and Arron Villaflor.
In the same year, he also had a role in Star Cinema’s “You’re My Boss” and played opposite Angelica Panganiban in the widely acclaimed “That Thing Called Tadhana."
