The end is nigh, the world is ending, our lives are over...Brangelina has broken up.
It's been more than 24 hours since the fateful day, September 20 (mark your calendars), that Hollywood celebrity gossip machine TMZ broke the news. Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are getting a divorce, and no amount of sad face emojis can quell our sorrow.
If Brangelina can break up, then everyone can break up. It's a fact, accept it.
According to reports, it was Angie who filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences as her reason, and the internet promptly reacted with Jennifer Aniston GIFs, cheating rumors, and of course, deep, sincere calls to fill the empty place in Brad's bed.
Buzzfeed's Anne Helen Petersen called the break up an "end of an era" and I can't help but agree. Gone are the days when we furiously Google the following words: "Brangelina airport photos with Shiloh" or "Brangelina's new house in the South of France" or "Brangelina's love story timeline."
Now, it's been replaced with "Brangelina break-up", "Brangelina divorce reason" or (my personal favorite) "Brangelina how can you do this to humanity."
The world is mourning for the death of one of Hollywood's power couples, even the local stars are crying...
Angel Locsin dedicated an entire Instagram post about the divorce, writing, "kasi naman eh.. #brangelina #ooaffectedakoehanongayon."
Bianca Gonzalez's tweet included the saddest emoji ever created, the broken heart.
Miss Universe Philippines 2012 turned model Janine Tugonon's boyfriend Geoff Kinnis sent us his condolences. Thank you, Geoff.
Pop-rock superstar Yeng Constantino is probably singing the sad funeral version of "Habangbuhay" somewhere, because this news is a tragedy.
Bea Alonzo is asking the most important question of all, "bakeeeeeeettttt???? "
Alessandra de Rossi is saying what that little voice in the back of your head is saying, words that you are too ashamed to speak.
JM Rodriguez does not approve at all.
Musician Saab Magalona is speaking some terrible truths.
Jeron Teng stays positive in a time of mourning.
Alex Gonzaga has come out as a Braniston supporter.
and Alex Medina...well, he has made his allegiance known.
If you are mourning, nurse your bleeding heart with the knowledge that you are not alone.
