McCoy de Leon is glad that his team-ups with Maris Racal and fellow "Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7" housemate Elisse Joson have gained strong following.
However, the fans seem to be torn between their respective favorite pairs, which led to some squabbles online.
"Masaya na malungkot kasi may mga negative na comments. May away-away," McCoy related on "Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7 Online" yesterday, August 9, where he appeared alongside Elisse.
The Hashtags member continued, "Masaya ako na mas marami ang nag-support sa'min. Mas maraming nakakakilala sa'min. 'Yung mga nag-aaway-away, nakakasakit din sa damdamin. Masakit makarinig ng pangit na salita galing sa ibang tao na 'di naman namin intensyon na mangyari 'yun."
He went on to add, "Ako, bilang isang lalaki, mas iniisip ko sila (girls), kasi lalo na ngayon, meron din akong nanay na nakakaramdam din ng sakit. Wala po tayong magagawa kasi opinyon nila 'yun. Nirerespeto ko po 'yun. Part po 'yun [ng pagiging public figure]."
On a lighter note, McCoy and Elisse are both surprised and overwhelmed by the immense support they got from McLisse fans.
"Wine-welcome po namin kayo sa buhay namin," McCoy enthused. "Nagpapasalamat kami sa suporta niyo kasi grabe hindi namin akalain na ganito kalaki 'yung epekto paglabas po namin... Nandito pa rin kami, ita-try pa rin namin 'yung best namin para magpasaya pa rin sa inyo."
Elisse shared McCoy's sentiments, adding, "Nakakataba po ng puso na meron palang natutuwa sa'min, habang sa loob ng Bahay wala po kaming kaalam-alam sa mga pinaggagagawa namin. Tapos nabuo po 'yung McLisse. Very thankful po na nagkaroon ng McLisse."
