Directing and producing his own films may be challenging, but Direk Paul Soriano likes it.
This, he shared in an interview on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" yesterday, June 30.
"All the films that I've directed, I produced. It's extra challenging for me but I like that. That's what I like. I'm really hands on with my films, I treat them like a child. It's something that's just within me. I cannot not produce a film I'm directing it. It's kinda work both ways," he said.
Direk Paul has done the following films: "A Journey Home," "Thelma," "Kid Kulafu," and his latest work, "Dukot."
Though it's a struggle, Direk Paul sees the benefits of working with "two hats."
"I thrive on that challenge... That's why when I get to the set, we're as prepared as can be, because I also produce," he proudly shared.
In "Dukot," Carlo (Enrique Gil) sacrifices his own freedom for the sake of his sister (Shaina Magdayao).
It premieres in cinemas this July 13.
