Megastar Sharon Cuneta officially joins "The Voice Kids" as its newest coach, replacing Pop Star Royalty Sarah Geronimo.
In an interview during her contract signing yesterday, May 5, Sharon shared she understands why Sarah has made such decision to leave the show to focus on her other commitments, including performing on "ASAP."
"I don’t mind taking the place of Sarah. I think she’s done so much for 'The Voice' and 'The Voice Kids' that it’s time for her to do what she really wants in her career and in her personal life. Napakabait na bata niyan so she deserves all the happiness in the world," Sharon said.
Sharon also expressed how thrilled she is to work alongside with Lea Salonga and Bamboo.
"I'm so honored because I'm working with Lea Salonga who is a friend of mine and with Bamboo who is a friend of mine as well... and Bamboo's son is a best friend of my son Miguel, they go to the same school," she said.
Following "Your Face Sounds Familiar," Sharon will take the mentor's chair on the reality singing competition "The Voice Kids." She is also set to do a movie comeback under Star Cinema.
