After her stint in the Russian international action film, "Showdown in Manila" last year, Iza Calzado admitted that she still hungers for more international projects, specifically in Los Angeles.
“Gusto kong maintindihan kung paano ba dito mag-audition sa bansang ito. Wala pa akong Hollywood agent do’n, I didn’t sign with anyone yet," she said in a PUSH report.
The 33-year-old actress revealed that she took improvisation classes in Los Angeles, as she's "preparing for my future" – "whatever it is."
She added, “It’s better to be prepared, right? I wanted to explore several things."
Iza shared that she's even studying the American accent.
“Ninety-nine percent of the people that I met there said I need to get an American accent if I want to work there. So parang, it’s not something na when I go there, saka pa lang mag-aaral. Kumbaga, ihanda mo na ang sarili mo para sa oras na magdesisyon ka man na I want to go for a pilot season audition there ready ka,"
The award-winning actress admitted that she's not yet satisfied with where she is today, noting that she still wants to do more.
She stressed though that "I always think there’s so much room for improvement. But I’m happy where I am in terms of my growth."
Meanwhile, Iza co-starred with Km Chiu, Claudine Barretto, Cheena Crab, and Kris Aquino in the Star Cinema film "Etiquette for Mistresses" last year.
