Esang of ‘The Voice Kids’ joins ‘Les Miserables’

“The Voice Kids” Season 2 finalist Esang de Torres has been tapped to play as the young Cosette in the Manila run of Broadway musical "Les Miserables."

Cosette’s mother is Fantine, who is also portrayed by another Filipina singer, Rachelle Ann Go.
The eight-year-old singer caught everyone’s attention when she first sang “Tomorrow” from the international movie “Annie” during the “Mini Me” segment of “It’s Showtime.”
She's a three-chair-turner on "The Voice Kids," but chose Broadway diva Lea Salonga to mentor her.

Interestingly, Lea has also been part of "Les Mis" as Eponine and Fantine.
