BaiLona bags special awards at the Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs 2016

Bailey May and Ylona Garcia (BaiLona) have proven that their team-up is not only known for its appeal onscreen but also for their undeniable chemistry in music.

Their song "O' Pag-ibig," written by Honlani Rabe and Jack Rufo, bagged special awards in this year's Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs held at the KIA Theater in Quezon City yesterday, April 24.

Special awards from MOR 101.9, One Music Philippines, and TFC, as well as the Best Music Video were given to the hit young love team.

In an interview, Bailey described himself as "blessed," while Ylona, who was still overwhelmed, said that she is indeed "very thankful."

Ylona admitted that she was "very nervous" because, "First time ko rin to perform live here at Kia theatre in front of many people."

Meanwhile, Bailey expressed his gratitude to everyone behind this feat, saying, "To get four awards was indeed very amazing! We would like to thank the fans, Star Music, and God for all these."

Among the final 15 entries, "Dalawang Letra," written by former "Pinoy Dream Academy" contestant Davey Langit and interpreted by Itchyworms, was hailed as best song, followed by "Monumento" by Jungee Marcelo (interpreted by Kris Lawrence and Kyla), "Laban Pa" by David Dimaguila (interpreted by KZ and JayR), "Tama Lang" by Agatha and Melvin Morallos (performed by Jolina Magdangal), and "Parang Tayo, Parang Hindi" by Marlon Barnuevo (recorded by Michael Pangilinan ang Angeline Quinto).

Aries Sales’ “Nyebe,” interpreted by Kaye Cal, received the Star Music Listener Award.

The awards night was hosted by Robi Domingo, Kathryn Bernardo, Enrique Gil, and Liza Soberano.

Another thing to watch out for in BaiLona: They will star in the upcoming thriller film "Bloody Crayons" with  Sofia Andres, Diego Loyzaga, Julia Barretto, Inigo Pascual, Jane Oineza, Khalil Ramos, Maris Racal, and Yves Flores.
