Character actor Julio Diaz passed out last April 8 because of severe headache and was rushed to the hospital. A CAT Scan showed a swelling of a vein in his brain, which needs surgery within 24-48 hours.

An update was posted around 8am today, April 10.

"Here's some good news. Julio has been admitted at St. Luke's Hospital in Global City. According to Dr. Cuanang the plan is to perform by 1 p.m. Manila time (1pm EST), an angiogram and possible clamping. If this procedure does not work, then they will proceed with the surgery. We ask for your prayers that the 1st procedure will be successful. Thank you all."

Julio Diaz, in his semi retirement in the, movie industry, lives a simple life in his own home in Bulacan.

Julia Diaz has done numerous episodes for "Maalaala Mo Kaya" and "Wansapanataym," and was even part of a popular ABS-CBN Family drama series, "Familia Zaragoza."

He was also active in Independent films, two of which were "Serbis" and "Kinatay" where he was able to work with Coco Martin.
