Actor Ian De leon rescued a 10-year-old boy involved in a motorcycle accident last March 27.
His heroic act made waves online when the mother of the child, a certain Kristine Madrigal Sarmiento, took to her Facebook account her gratitude to the actor for bringing her son Ethan to the hospital.
She wrote, “DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO GET IN TOUCH WITH IAN DE LEON, THE ACTOR AND SON OF NORA AUNOR AND CHRISTOPHER DE LEON? I WOULD LIKE TO PERSONALLY THANK HIM FOR RUSHING MY SON ETHAN TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM AFTER HE WAS HIT BY A SPEEDING MOTORCYCLE. HE WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAME TO THE RESCUE OF A TOTAL STRANGER ,WHILE ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE JUST PASSED BY AND LOOKED AT MY BLOODY 10 YEAR OLD HELPLESS SON WHO WAS ALONE WHEN THE INCIDENT HAPPENED.”
“SUCH AN ACT OF KINDNESS SHOULD BE EMULATED BY EVERYONE! NOT TOO MANY GOOD SAMARITANS AROUND ANYMORE. PLEASE HELP ME GET IN TOUCH WITH HIM,” she added.
Upon hearing the news, Boy Abunda commended Ian on "Tonight with Boy Abunda" saying, "Yung ibang tao ay hindi agad tutulong, but Ian De Leon is different. Bravo, Ian!"
"Si Ian 'yung isang klase ng tao na kung may problema halimbawa ay siya ang pupunta roon para umaksyon. Tutulong siya nang walang pag-aalinlangan. I am so proud of Ian," he added.
The King of Talk also stated that Ian and Kristine have already met.
Meanwhile, Ian (@kris_ian_de_leon), responded to Instagram followers commending him for his heroic deed.
“@julietlanipa maraming salamat po Mam Juliet! Nagkataon lng po siguro na nandun po ako nung nang yari ang accidente, kahit sino naman po ang nasa lugar ko, gagawin rin po ang na gawa ko.. God bless po.. :)” he wrote.
Ian is the son of showbiz veterans Nora Aunor and Christopher de Leon.
