After hearing about the sudden death of blockbuster director Wenn Deramas yesterday, February 29, Alex Gonzaga shared her last conversation with him.

On Instagram (@cathygonzaga), Alex said that she was with the 49-year-old director the whole day of Saturday, February 27, for a shoot.

She wrote as caption to their photo, "First time kita naging director na halos lahat ng eksena ako artista mo... Ang dami pa natin pinag-usapan about life and love... Ang dami mo pa advices sakin tungkol sa buhay..."

She also recalled, "Pinakaimportante nakita namin ikaw ng masayang masaya. Sabi mo nga last saturday one day makasama mo na nanay mo sa eternal life."
Though in just a short period of time, Alex is proud to had worked with Direk Wenn.

"Ang swerte namin na kami huli mo nakatrabaho at naranasan namin ang galing at husay mo first hand bilang director," she said.

She added, "We love you! And we'll be praying for the people you left behind."

As revealed by Atak, comedian and good friend of Direk Wenn, on "Kris TV" earlier today, March 1, the taping was for a telesine to be topbilled by Alex, Matt Evans, and JC de Vera.

Alex will also grace the big screen soon with a film with Edgar Allan Guzman.

Direk Wenn passed away due to cardiac arrest right after he was informed that his brother, whom they rushed to the hospital, had just died.

He was only 49.

It can be remembered that Direk Wenn almost had a heart attack two years ago and had an angioplasty the previous year.

He directed numerous blockbuster films, such as "The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin," the "Ang Tanging Ina" film series, "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy," "Sisterakas," "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin," and most recently, the 2015 Metro Manila Film Festival entry "Beauty and the Bestie," which is now the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time.
