After 10 years, one of the most celebrated rappers in OPM, Gloc-9, has returned to his original home, Star Music.
The 38-year-old singer-rapper expressed how grateful he is and how he would always remember that Star Music is where he started his career.
"Sobrang saya ko, kasi right after kong mawala sa Star [Music] before, lagi kong naalala kung saan talaga ako galing. Karamihan ng breaks na nakuha ko ay galing din dito sa Star [Music]," Gloc-9 said at his contract signing today, February 1. "'Yung mga taong nakatrabaho ko, ilan sa mga pinaka-memorable na tao na 'di ko makakalimutan na tumulong sa akin. I'm very happy."
He added, "Syempre 'yung music ko po nag-iba na rin po after kong gumawa ng ibang albums.Pero I'm very very excited dahil alam ko 'yung trust nila sa'kin sa paggawa ng album nandyan pa rin at I'm very very happy na katrabaho ko ulit 'yung matagal ko ng kaibigan na si Jonathan Manalo na very supportive."
Gloc-9 also revealed that he will collaborate with KZ Tandingan and Monty of the band Mayonnaise in his upcoming album "Sukli".
"Actually nagre-record na ako ng album. Matagal na kaming nag-uusap ni Jonathan regarding this," he related. "Ako po ay down to my last two songs sa album. Ganun pa rin ang tema ng mga kanta, it's still about stories of people..."
Present at the contract signing were Star Music head Roxy Liquigan, Star Music audio content head Jonathan Manalo and talent manager Perry Lansigan of PPL Entertainment.
Gloc-9 hopes that his fans will support his upcoming album under Star Music.
