Why playing Cali is a challenge for Liza Soberano
Liza Soberano intensifies the hype for "My Ex and Whys" by giving us all an exciting sneak peek into her character in the upcoming film.

In an interview with PEP last December 3, the talented actress confessed that playing Cali was a challenge for her. Cali is a blogger and is also five years older than Liza.

She said, "I'm playing an even more mature role because I'm playing 24-year-old who has experience in life. It's hard for me to portray because I'm only 18 and I haven't experienced the things my character has experienced."

However, Liza shared that she has been getting a lot of help from their director, the acclaimed Cathy Garcia-Molina, as well as her co-stars, that includes her on-screen partner Enrique Gil, in developing her character.

She shared, "They always guide me... so I'm blessed with that also."

The actress also generously gave us a clearer view of how her character plays into the story of "My Ex and Whys," which according to their previous interviews, takes LizQuen one step further in terms of "sensuality."

She said, "The story pretty much revolves around a girl who's been hurt so much that she's afraid to fall in love again. She becomes narrow-minded on what love really is."

"My Ex and Whys" is slated for a 2017 release.
