Bea Alonzo and Ian Veneracion spoke the truth about their first impressions with each other during the press conference of their upcoming 2017 teleserye “A Love to Last,” December 15.
When asked about what he thought about Bea prior to working with her, Ian admitted, “Una 'yung typical spoiled brat. Pa-superstar. You know, everyone treats her like a queen. You know, parang impression ko nung una ganun, ‘maarte ‘to, feeling ano ‘to, feeling superstar ‘to.'"
Bea was surprised since it was the first time she heard someone thought of her that way. When it was her turn to share her first impression of Ian, the actress said, “Nung umpisa, mukha siyang mahiyain kasi nung storycon, parang hindi masyadong nagsasalita, tahimik lang.
“At nahihiya rin ako nang konti sa kanya, kasi medyo nai-intimidate ako kasi mukha siyang… parang hindi siya echosero, ganun.”
After starting work, the two lead stars immediately became comfortable with each other.
“Within the first few minutes nakita ko talaga na very down to earth, very comfortable to have a conversation with her, and ang galing ng sense of humor, ang kulit. So, napakanormal na tao, so feeling ko ngayon, wala, friends na kami, agad,” Ian said.
“But eventually nakita ko na, meron kang tao na madali kang makakonekta. 'Yung may connection agad, 'di kailangang ipilit. 'Di ba ganun daw 'yung friendship, hindi pinipilit. Hindi pinipili, so parang ganun 'yung kami ni Papa I,” Bea added.
This sense of comfort and openness to each other allowed them to work easier.
“Your personal life is part of your work, eh. So it’s very important na as co-actors, more or less alam mo 'yung core ng katrabaho mo,” Ian shared.
Who broke the ice between the two? Bea revealed, “Actually, nobody did. It just happened. 'Yun 'yung sinasabi ko kanina na minsan hindi mo nafe-fake 'yung connection. It just happens.”
“A Love to Last” also stars Iza Calzado, Julia Barretto, Enchong Dee, Juan Karlos Labajo, Ronnie Alonte, and Hannah Lopez Vito.
