Darren Espanto learned a lot about many things this year, including the value of having friends who are genuine and trustworthy.
“Biggest na natutunan ko this 2016 is to count your blessings, of course,” said Darren in our interview with him at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special last night, December 13.
He added, “And just be happy with the friends that you have, who are there for you, who are true, and who you can trust siguro.”
Darren also learned some things that he would be able to apply to his day to day life. “I learned also in music as well. Katulad po nung sa boses ko, how to maintain it as well, and also, of course sa school, madami din po ako natutunan.”
Being the good guy that Darren is, he shared a few lessons he wants to impart to the kids of his generation. “[To] all those teens, even kids, who are like me, like to spend time on social media: be careful of what you post, what you say, and also who you interact with as well.”
The "Voice Kids" alum explained, “It’s better to trust a few people than trust a lot.”
Though Darren thinks positively of using social media freely, he still sees the risks everyone should avoid.
“The pros would be, you’re able to talk to people worldwide, of course. And a lot of people can see what you share and what you post and going back, you have to live it, and post only what you think is appropriate,” he said.
