This year’s Metro Manila Film Festival features a more interesting and diverse lineup compared to the movies from the previous years.
Star Cinema's entry is “Vince and Kath and James,” starring Julia Barretto, Joshua Garcia and Ronnie Alonte, and directed by Theodore Boborol.
In an interview with PUSH last November 20, Direk Ted mentioned that he and the whole crew were surprised at their MMFF inclusion.
“Para sa akin kami ‘yung parang dark horse at hindi expected na makakapasok,” he said. “So what we did was really just make a good movie, a beautiful movie… So noong in-announce na, nagtilian kami, nag-iyakan kami.”
Direk Ted also shared that whenever he directs a movie, he gives all that he has, and makes sure he gives a quality film.
“Ayokong i-shortchange ‘yung audience. If they love the movie it’s because we did a quality film and mag-i-enjoy sila. Ayoko namang gumawa para lang kumita,” he explained.
“Vince and Kath and James,” adapted from Queen Elly's viral social serye "Vince and Kath," will start showing on Christmas Day.
