Robin Padilla, who was recently granted absolute pardon by President Rodrigo Duterte, has denied claims that he gets special treatment from the President.
In an interview with PEP published yesterday, November 16, the action star claimed that he had never asked for any favors from any of the previous presidents and the incumbent chief executive is no different.
Robin furthered, "FVR (former Pres.
However, the actor clarified that his lawyer Rudolf Jurado and his manager Betchay Vidanes did ask for the pardon.
In 1994, Robin was found guilty of illegal possession of firearms. Four years later, during Pres. Ramos' tenure, he was granted a pardon sans full restoration of political and civil rights.
Now that Robin has been granted an absolute pardon, it will be easier for him to obtain a visa to travel to the US where his wife, Mariel Rodriguez is currently staying with their newborn daughter.
