Agot Isidro took to Facebook last October 7 to lambast President Rodrigo Duterte over his controversial statements these past several weeks hurled against some of the country's foreign allies, such as the United Nations, the European Union, and the United States.
The president's "tirade" was in reaction to the foreign bodies' statements against the violence that surrounds his administration's "war on drugs."
"Unang-una, walang umaaway sa iyo. As a matter of fact, ikaw ang nang-aaway," the "FPJ's Ang Probinsyano" actress wrote.
"Pangalawa, 'yung bansa kung saan ka inuluklok ng 16 million out of 100+ million people ay Third World. Kung makapagsalita ka parang superpower [ang] Pilipinas eh. At excuse me, ayaw namin magutom. Mag-isa ka na lang. 'wag kang mangdamay. Hindi na nga nakakain ang nakararami, gugutumin mo pa lalo."
She ended the post with, "Pangatlo, may kilala akong psychiatrist. Patingin ka. Hindi ka bipolar. You are a psychopath."
Agot's statement trended on Twitter, and got upwards of 10,000 shares and over 37,000 reactions on Facebook.
The actress followed up her statement with another Facebook post, which read: "If you need violence to enforce your ideas, your ideas are worthless."
Presidential spokesperson Ernesto Abella reacted to Agot's criticism yesterday, October 9, saying, "While she is entitled to her own opinon, it also reveals the kind of attitude that the President is addressing—dependency on foreign aid.
"He wants the Filipino people to gain true independence, economically, mentally and socially."
