Rachelle Ann Go plays Fantine in ‘Les Miserables’ PH run

Former Kapamilya singer Rachel Ann Go is set to return to the country to portray the iconic role Fantine from the musical “Les Miserables,” which will have a Philippine run on March 2016 with Australian co-stars.
Rachel, who debuted playing Fantine in the West End stage last June, confirmed the news through her Instagram account (@gorachelleann).
“Words can't describe what I'm feeling. I'm coming home next year to play Fantine in my hometown with the Australian cast! How amazing is that?!” she exclaims. “I'm excited to be with my loved ones and share with everyone what I've been doing here in London.”
She adds: “I actually prayed for this to happen because I really miss my family! Waah! God is so good p.s. when you pray it's so important to be specific hehe #thelesmisdiaryofrachelle.”
Fantine is one of the main characters in “Les Miserables,” which follows the story of Jean Valjean, a convict who escapes after being imprisoned for 19 years for stealing a loaf of bread. After becoming a mayor of a town, Jean adopts an orphan named Cosette, the child of Fantine.
Rachel flew to London in 2014 after bagging the major role of Gigi Van Tranh from "Miss Saigon" West End.
