Admit it, there are things, or even people, you take for granted. There are chances you let slip and there are mistakes you don’t want to own up to.
Anna Manalastas (Coney Reyes) in the beloved TV series “100 Days to Heaven” was one personification. She was a toy company owner whose unforeseen death brought relief instead of grief to people she had wronged. Instead of going straight down to hell, she was given a second chance: To return to life as a kid (Xyriel Manabat) and make amends to these people – all for 100 days.
In spite of her arrogance and viciousness, Anna took on the special assignment, and in the process, she would learn her lesson: That what you say and what you do to others create an impact in their lives one way or another, so you better be nice and kind. If you think you’re so strong that you can handle whatever life throws at you, then you must understand that everyone has their own battles and they have their own ways of dealing with them.
Just because life had been cruel to Anna doesn’t give her – or anyone for that matter – permission to be hard on others. Don’t be like Anna who got consumed by anger; instead, swallow that angst whole and make the most out of the life and opportunities given to you.
Every day is a second chance to make things right and to make things better for yourself and for the people around you. Don't blow it.
