Coney Reyes was the subject of Amalia Fuentes’s Facebook post, which made rounds online recently.
Coney was the one who hosted the program during the cremation ceremony of Amalia’s daughter Liezl Martinez. Amalia reportedly walked out of her daughter’s funeral and lamented to the press that she wasn’t even asked to speak at the services.
Known for being a devout Christian, the actress was instead asked about dealing with any trouble. “In anything in life, I always ask God for His guidance. It says in the Bible, always inquire in the Lord, always ask Him for guidance, for direction, for wisdom so ganon na lang. In anything that’s happening, I just choose to forgive. What I want is to achieve peace, joy, that inner contentment so I’m always like that na lang. It doesn’t mean to say I don’t cry but I always lift it up to the Lord. He takes care of me,” Coney stated.
Coney is dedicating her energy to her faith and on her upcoming soap Nathaniel. She plays the villainous character of Angela V. Laxamana "Ms. AVL." She admitted that she can somehow relate to her character, especially the way she lived her life before.
Coney was also all praises for her co-star Isabelle Daza, who she constantly has a scene with in the soap. “She’s a hard worker and a good learner. She works hard and she learns fast and I won’t be surprised that in a few months you will see her in bigger and brighter projects.”
