Jam Fernardo Sebastian of the popular YouTube duo Jamich passed on today, March 4, after battling lung cancer. He was 28.
His mother, Maricar Sebastian, posted on Facebook, “The fight is over we lost the battle my son Jam Fernando Sebastian just passed away 10:30 am march 4,2015.”
A few hours before that status message, Mrs. Sebastian even shared a photo of Jam’s message during a critical moment. His handwritten message went: “Oo laban pa.”
His fiancée and the other half of Jamich, Paolinne Michelle Liggayu, wrote a touching parting message to Jam on her Facebook page:
“Nakapag decide na ang family. Hinihintay na lang maubos yung gamot ni Jam. Hindi ko kayang tignan ngayon yung ginagawa sakanya. Na inaayos na siya. Ang sakit marinig na napag uusapan na kung anong susuotin niya. Sabay sabay tayong mag pray for Jam na makaramdam na siya ng love and comfort sa arms ni God. Pag pray din natin na maging strong tayong lahat. Everything will be okay... We love you Jam Fernando Sebastian. I'm sure magiging sobrang ganda and happy ng birthday celebration mo sa Heaven. Sana madream kita na ipaalam mo lang samin na masaya ka na and healthy ulit with God. Thank you for everything... No words can explain. Until we meet again...”
Her father Christopher also thanked Jam via Facebook “for the Love. Thank you for the memories. Thank you for being a part of our Life. Heaven awaits you my son. We Love You so Much!”
Jam’s brother Yexel, meanwhile, shared this prayer: “Ikaw napo ang bahala sa kanya… maraming salamat po… i love you tol.”
Jam confirmed that he was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2014. A few months after, in May, he got engaged to Mich.
