During the interview on “Aquino and Abunda Tonight” that aired Friday, Feb 13, Bamboo surprisingly shared his experiential learning through the years in noontime variety show "ASAP" as it will celebrate its 20th anniversary at Mall of Asia Arena on Feb 22.
“It’s going to be a reunion. I’m looking forward to a chaos,” the 38 year-old singer said.
“Noong unang sabak mo sa ASAP, parang hindi ko nakita ang connection. There’s some kind of incongruence di ba in terms of imaging and in terms of the show,” King of Talk Boy Abunda commented.
When asked how he handled the non-mainstream side of the show, Bamboo said: “I think we found a great balance in the show. As much as possible they tried to put me first in my comfort zone.”
The former Rivermaya vocalist also said that he’s here to grow, to experience and learn the whole thing.
“They allow me the parameters pero they also say ‘Ikaw na ang bahala,'” he added.
“The Voice of the Philippines” coach admitted that the experience gives him a refreshing feeling.
“I’m learning the choreography and stuff like that and challenging myself that way. I love the work,” he related.
Later in the episode, Bamboo also announced that his new album will be released this year.
“I believe in the romance of making an album, you lose a bit of magic when you rush,” Bamboo said.
