MANILA - If you were going to ask the judges of "Your Face Sounds Familiar," Myrtle Sarrosa flawlessly impersonated pop icon Britney Spears during her performance of "I'm a Slave 4 U" on an episode of the show aired Saturday.
Sarrosa, who even brought a live python (courtesy of Kim Atienza) to spice up her number, was praised by Gary Valenciano, Sharon Cuneta, and Jed Madela for her performance of the 2001 hit.
"Sa rehearsal mo, nag-sample ka lang ng kaunti. And I said, 'oh my God.' Kasi bagay na bagay ang boses ni Britney Spears," Valenciano said.
"Second is alam kong gagalaw ka at sabi ko sana hindi ma-sacrifice ang boses para sa galaw. Kasi ang ginawa mo gumalaw ka from beginning to the end, and I must say you have brought up your level of performance," the singer added.
For his part, Madela commended Sarrosa for growing more confident with each performance. "Hindi ko nafi-feel na nininiyerbos ka onstage. It was just one of my favorites tonight. Congratulations," he said.
Cuneta capped off a wonderful night for Sarrosa. She told her: "It was just so natural to you. Kitang kita lahat ng effort. Pag mahal na mahal mo 'yung gagawin mong number at may excitement ka, nape-perfect mo."
