Veteran actress Sandy Andolong has apologized to Toni Gonzaga over referring to the latter’s long-time boyfriend, director Paul Soriano, as her “fiance” in a recent Instagram post.
Sandy addressed the matter via Instagram (@sandy_andolong) last Friday, Jan. 23.
According to Sandy, she thought that “fiance” would be a “more appropriate and romantic” term than simply boyfriend, considering how strong and stable Toni and Paul’s relationship has been through the years.
“I never realized it would cause so much commotion & reaction from so many people,” said Sandy, apparently pertaining to the media mileage that the “fiance” reference to Paul generated.
Nevertheless, the “Home Sweetie Home” co-stars have settled the matter once and for all.
Here’s Sandy’s full statement:
"Just to clear things up. I'm so sorry @celestinegonzaga @paulsoriano1017 for using the term ‘fiance’ in my birthday greeting post to you I just based it on the fact that you both have been in a very stable,& God centered relationship for years. Plus I just thought ‘fiance’ sounded more appropriate & romantic than "boyfriend" And I can see how you both bring out the best in each other I never realized it would cause so much commotion & reaction from so many people. Again, my deepest apology to Tin, Paul & their families for the trouble Ninerbyos ako at natawa sa usapan natin tuloy last night. Oh my, how I panicked. Thank you for taking it so well & for being very nice & understanding Love you Tin."
Toni turned 31 last Jan. 20.
