“I will share with you, without telling you my story. I will give you my emotions.”
This was the statement given by Gretchen Barretto during her contract signing with Star Cinema for her first movie with the film outfit titled “Almost A Love Story” co-starring John Lloyd Cruz, Richard Gomez, and Jessy Mendiola under the direction of Chito S. Roño.
Gretchen mentioned that she will show her “very simple and plain” side in the film as a developmental psychologist.
“Maraming iyakan, maraming emotions (dito sa movie),” she said. “‘Yung mga pinagdaanan for the past year, all the emotions makikita niyo po sa pelikulang ito.”
In order to perfectly pull off her new role, Gretchen underwent several workshops, so she could give the needed emotions in every scene.
The 44-year-old actress also shared how John Lloyd’s dedication for his role inspired her to be more focused as she admitted to have a perky personality off cam.
More than being inspired with her co-star, Gretchen emphasized that she always aims to give her best shot in everything that she does believing that it would make her project memorable.
