Rachelle Ann Go graced a London radio station yesterday, Aug. 10, to perform some songs and share stories about her life and career. She was joined by British vocal group Blake.
The singer-actress, who plays Gigi in the 25th anniversary production of “Miss Saigon,” wowed those in the 94.9 radio station with her take on Coldplay’s “The Scientist.” Show host Gaby Roslin called her singing “wonderful” and noted that she brought people in the booth to tears.
She also sang her “Miss Saigon” song “Movie in My Mind,” as well as a duet with Blake for “Falling Slowly” off the musical film “Once.”
Clips of her performances were uploaded on YouTube by user silverflame008.
Rachelle Ann posted photos of her BBC London 94.9 experience on Instagram (@gorachelleann). In one of the shots, members of Blake photobombed her as she posed in front of the BBC building.
“I feel so blessed that I was able to perform on BBC London Radio today:) thank you so much @thebandblake for inviting me! @BBCLondon949 #thesaigondiaryofrachelle #london #dream,” she writes in the caption.
She also has a photo with Gaby that came with the caption: “Thank you @GabyRoslin for having me on your show today! It was a pleasure to meet you. You are so lovely. See you in Miss Saigon soon:) #thesaigondiaryofrachelle #dream #london #blessed.”
Rachelle Ann will take part in the “The Philippine Dream: A West End Charity Evening in Aid of the Tuloy Foundation for Children” concert on Aug. 17 together with Blake. The rest of the “Miss Saigon” cast is also among the performers.
