Dingdong Dantes proposed to Marian Rivera on the latter’s dance program aired yesterday evening, August 9. Dingdong was one of the special guests in Marian’s show.  

The actress was celebrating her 29th birthday on the show when Dingdong went onstage. He showed Marian photos taken from different events and asked her to explain each one.

He then suddenly went down on his knee and tearfully asked Marian “to be his wife.” Marian, who was caught off guard, planted numerous kisses on Dingdong’s lips, thus sealing the wedding proposal with a yes.  

A few moments after the show, Marian took to Instagram (therealmarian) to share her overwhelming happiness as she posted their couple picture.

“I am so grateful to share with everyone that Dong and I are engaged  #ForeverStartsToday,” was the photos’ caption.

Earlier today, Marian posted a snapshot of her engagement ring on Instagram expressing her love for Dingdong.

“Hanggang ngayon e nasa alapaap pa rin ako, lalo sa na sinabi mong ako ang sagot sa yong mga dasal at gusto mong ipag sigawan sa mundo kung gaano mo ako kamahal,” the photos’ caption reads. “haaay mahal ko... Mahal na mahal din kita!”
