MANILA -- We often see them under the light of the camera with their superb acting, versatile hosting or one-of-a-kind singing, but Erich Gonzales, Sam Milby, Erwan Heussaff and Carlos Agassi have something more to offer.
These celebrity restaurateurs present another facet of their personalities – their love for food, drinks and entertaining their friends.

Metro magazine shares what these in-demand personalities do aside from being under the limelight.

1. Sam Milby’s Prost Baumeister
G/F Pointe Building, 26th Ave., cor. 5th Ave., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
The Acoustic Heartthrob brings Germany to the Philippines through Prost (Cheers!). This restobar has all the German feels, from the vintage wooden chandeliers, pop art posters to paintings that bring to mind ephemera found inside pubs. Do not leave the place without trying the restobar’s vast selection of signature beers like Paulaner, Oettiger and Beck’s.

2. Erich Gonzales’ The Breakfast Club
43 Tirad Pass St. cor. Sto. Domingo Ave., Quezon City
Experience the best Filipino breakfast like tapsilog and tocilog anytime of the day with Erich’s all-day breakfast restaurant, which she set up with her non-showbiz boyfriend. The dominantly white interiors and soft piped-in music will allow you to relax and enjoy. Never forget to try some of their best sellers such as the Korean Beef Stew, Bibimbap, Choco Lava and Strawberry Glazed Panna Cotta.

3. Erwan Heussaff’s The Hungry Hound Pub & Kitchen and Niner Ichi Nana
G/F Globe Tower, 32nd St. cor. 7th Ave., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig
Hungry Hound offers “simple, straight-forward dishes which are bold with a diversity of flavors” like Hangar Steak and Chips, Old Crab Croquetas and Bun Me Burger. Niner Ichi Nana, on the other hand, attempts to introduce the artisanal cocktails concept, which are well prepared and properly proportioned. Try Erwan’s top picks like Pink Blush, Toddy and Guapurple or better yet, create your drink based on your own terms.

4. Carlos Agassi’s Brasas

G/F SM Jazz Mall, Nicanor Garcia cor. Jupiter St., Bel-Air, Makati City
A haven for people who love grilled meat, Brasas offers healthier choices compared to other restaurants. Moreover, Brasas is the only restaurant in the Philippines that offers vibrant Latin American street food. Try their most popular Empanadas Latinas. Other dishes worth trying are Pescado Con Coco and Carne Asada Wrap. They also have regional cocktails such as Caipirinha, La Morena and La Rubia.
