#TWEETOFTHEDAY: Lea Salonga apologizes to Daniel Padilla

Lea Salonga took to Twitter last night, July 26, her apology to Daniel Padilla over a comment she made on “The Voice Kids” which some of the teen royalty's followers thought to be a swipe against Daniel.

The controversial comment, as seen in the episode, was part of her overall feedback to finalist Juan Karlos “JK” Labajo’s performance of “Runaway Baby.”
“I'm actually looking at you as a 13-year-old and seeing what you're going to be like five years from now.
“‘Yung mga DJ na 'yan, wala, sorry... Their names are going to be erased once you get to that age,” she tells Kamp Kawayan’s JK.
“DJ” happens to be the "She's Dating The Gangster" star's nickname.
A few hours after Saturday’s show, the Tony award-winning performer posted the following tweets:
“Ohhh dear... I offer my deepest apologies to Daniel P and his fans. In building up JK I neglected to think that I might hurt other people.

“I meant no disrespect, but I humbly ask for forgiveness if that's how it came across. Sana mapatawad po ninyo ako sa aking pagkakamali.
The final showdown of “The Voice Kids” happens tonight, live at the Resorts World Manila.
