1. John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo
Movies: “One More Chance (2007),” “Close to You (2006),” “Miss You Like Crazy (2010)”
The tandem of Bea Alonzo and John Lloyd Cruz continues to be one of the most successful in recent years. They proved that the team-up can be successful even if the two stars are not romantically linked with each other.
Their most memorable film to date is “One More Chance,” undeniably a modern classic. The movie tackled the more serious side to love. Three years later, John Lloyd and Bea reunited on the big screen with “Miss You Like Crazy (2010),” still under Direk Cathy.
2. Hero Angeles- Sandara Park
Movie: “Bcuz of U (2004)”
Both Hero Angeles and Sandara Park were overnight sensations when "Star Circle Quest" ended, but because of Direk Cathy’s “magic,” the stars' rawness turned into impeccable movie chemistry with their episode in "Bcuz of U." In the movie, a Filipino working student (Hero) criticized a term paper made by a Korean student (Sandara). Along the way, the two developed a certain affection and acceptance for each other despite their cultural differences.

Together, they spread love through their three movies, all blockbuster hits. The movie talked about boss-employee love affair.
4. Sam Milby- Toni Gonzaga
Movie: “You Are The One (2006)”

Or so he thought.
6. John Lloyd Cruz-Angel Locsin
Movie: “Unofficially Yours (2012)”
“Unofficially Yours,” is a movie depicting a no-strings-attached relationship.
Starring Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz, two of the most respected drama stars of their generation, the movie was bold enough to thrust them in an unfamiliar territory - light romance. Direk Cathy effectively highlighted their comedic sides. The movie follows the story of a commitment-phobic journalist Ces (Angel Locsin) who is pursued by the hopeless romantic Macky (John Lloyd Cruz).
Now, after the successful team up on the big screen of the loveteams above, Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina now helms “She’s Dating The Gangster” starring today’s hottest loveteam Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
