Don’t be confused. The following actors and actresses below may have the same name but they each of them made their distinct ways in introducing themselves in the showbiz industry.

1. The singer and the dancing matinee idol

Dingdong Avanzano

Dingdong Avanzano used to be dubbed as the “The Original Prince of Pop” at the height of his career. His songs “Paalam Na,” “I Will Be There For You,” and “Walang Kapalit” were his greatest hits as a balladeer. In 2001, he married fellow singer Jessa Zaragoza.
 
Dingdong Avanzano is currently the incumbent Vice Governor of Siquijor.
 
Dingdong Dantes
 
Dingdong Dantes, GMA’s Primetime King, was a former member of Abztract Dancers before he was launched as a serious actor in fantasy TV series from another network.
 
Dingdong also topbilled some Star Cinema films such as “Segunda Mano (2010),” “One More Try  (2012)” “Kimmy Dora and The Temple of Kiyeme  (2012)”and his most recent blockbuster hit “She's The One.”

2. Which is better, C or K?

Angelika Dela Cruz

Angelika dela Cruz, the older sister of “Mirabella” teen star Mika dela Cruz, is Jericho Rosales’ first onscreen leading lady during their teenage years. Angelika and Jericho’s hit loveteam also made it to the bigscreen through the movie “Magandang Hatinggabi” released on 1998. Angelika transferred to another network last 2007. But in 2010, Angelika became Kristine Hermosa’s antagonist in the teleserye “Prinsesa ng Banyera.”

Angelica Panganiban

Angelica Panganiban is one of ABS-CBN’s prized actresses. Just like Angelika, she also started out in showbiz as a child actress. She starred in films with Camille Prats in the movies “Sarah, Ang Munting Prinsesa (1995),” and “Ang Pulubi At Ang Prinsesa (1997).” In her teenage years, she was paired with Carlo Aquino. Angelica is currently starring in late night gag show “Banana Nite” and “Banana Split.” She is in a relationship with equally prized actor of ABS-CBN, John Lloyd Cruz.

3.  A former detainee, a reality search contestant, a child star and a Popstar Princess

Sarah Balabagan

Sarah Balabagan had quite a dramatic life story. At a young age, she flew to United Arab Emirates to work as domestic helper. In 1994, she fatally stabbed her employer who allegedly tried to rape her. She was sentenced to death, but was eventually lifted when the international outcry for her freedom was made.
 In 1997, the movie “The Sarah Balabagan Story” was released, topbilled by Vina Morales and helmed by Joel Lamangan.  Sarah is currently a theater actress.

Sarah Labahti

Sarah Labahti, girlfriend of Richard Gutierrez, made it to the showbizness after being hailed as the Grand Winner in a reality-based talent search from another network last 2009. Last year, Sarah was ensued into a legal battle against her home network’s executives. The issue has been recently settled and Sarah is set to make a showbiz comeback soon.

Sarah Abad

Sarah Abad, a former child star, is the older sister of Kapamilya star Kaye Abad. Sarah married Jay Contreras of Kamikazee band.

Sarah Geronimo

At the age of 15, Sarah won as the grand winner in “Star For A Night” last 2012. Since then, Sarah’s career as a singer flourished that she was dubbed as country’s Popstar Princess.

After succeeding as a recording artist, Sarah successfully made it to showbiz as an actress with several hit TV and movie projects to her name. Her most notable films are her flicks with John Lloyd Cruz and Gerald Anderson.

Right now, Sarah is busy preparing for her upcoming movie with Coco Martin “Maybe This Time.”

4. The singer, the royalty, and the versatile actress

Julia Clarete

Julia started in the business as a child star. She had a stint in these Star Cinema films: “Hataw Na (1995),” “Biyudo si Daddy, Biyuda si Mommy (1997),” “Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin (1997),” “Soltera (1999),” “Kahit Isang Saglit (2000),” “Narinig Mo Na Ba Ang L8est? (2001)” and “Trip (2001).”

In 2001, she was launched as Judy Ann Santos’ opposite in the TV series “Sa Puso Ko Iingatan ka.” Julia transferred in another network in 2003 and is currently a mainstay of a noontime show.

Julia Barretto

Teen star Julia, the lead star of the hit afternoon fantaserye “Mirabella,” comes from the second generation of the Barretto clan in the showbiz. Marjorie Barretto is her mother.  But before being launched as a primetime princess, Julia has already graced several glossy magazines and product endorsements.

Julia Montes

From a former “Going Bulilit” mainstay, Julia was re-launched last 2010 for the remake of the hit drama-series “Mara Clara.” She played the role of Clara, the opposite of Mara, which was portrayed by Kathryn.
After the show’s successful remake, Julia and Kathryn topbilled in the movie “Way Back Home (2011).” Julia also topbilled the TV series “Walang Hanggan (2012)” with Coco Martin as her leading man.

This year, Julia is part of the main cast of “Ikaw Lamang,” her second TV project with Coco.
 
5. Two beautiful Angels

Angel Aquino

This 41-year-old actress has been active in the showbizness since 1996. She also starred in plenty Star Cinema films such as “Bata, Bata Paano Ka Ginawa.” Angel topbilled in the horror film “Amorosa” last 20012. She received consecutive Best Host AwardS from PMPC for her female lifestyle TV show in Studio 23 “F” and “Us Girls” with co-hosts Daphne Osena, Iya Villania, and Cheska Garcia.

Angel is currently starring in the hit TV series “Ikaw Lamang,” topbilled by Kim Chiu and Coco Martin.

Angel Locsin

Angel, one of the primetime queens of ABS-CBN, was once a teen star from another network. She was paired with Richard Gutierrez in several projects. When she transferred to ABS-CBN, she was paired with Piolo Pascual in the hit TV series “Lobo.”

Angel is in a relationship with Luis Manzano.
