#ThenAndNow: Sarah Geronimo

Sarah Geronimo has appeared in Camille Prat’s movie “Sarah Ang Munting Prinsesa” in 1995 as a bit player. She was also part of the youth-oriented show “Ang TV.”

When she was 14, Sarah has re-entered showbiz big time via the singing contest “Star for A Night,” which named her the Grand Winner.

And on the same year, Sarah’s first album “Popstar: A Dream Come True” has been released and was phenomenally received by the public.

Sarah immediately dabbled into acting as she became part of Maricel Soriano’s film “Filipinas” released in 2003.

She also appeared in a youth-oriented show from another network before she transferred to ABS-CBN last 2004 and became a mainstay in the Sunday variety show “ASAP” where she, along with other singing champions such as Erik Santos, Christian Bautista, Rachelle Ann Go, Jed Madela and Sheryn Regis , was given a special segment called “Champions.”

Sarah was tapped to play lead roles in various TV projects, which included "Bituing Walang Ningning (2006),” “Pangarap na Bituin (2007),” “Your Song (2006),” “MMK: Kwintas (2006),” where she was first paired with John Lloyd Cruz.

Her “MMK” stint with John Lloyd jumpstarted their successful team-up on the bigscreen through the Laida-Miggy love installments such as “A Very Special Love (2008), “You Changed My Life (2009),” and “It Takes A Man And A Woman (2013).”

Sarah also dabbled into hosting via “Little Big Star (2005)” and “Sarah G. Live! (2012)." She also is one of the celebrated mentors of "The Voice of the Philippines" franchise.

Currently, Sarah is busy promoting her upcoming film with the King of Drama Coco Martin “Maybe This Time,” which hits the theaters this May 28.
