Last April 15 at Los Angeles, in Yong Chavez’s interview with Piolo Pascual, the Ultimate Heartthrob reveals that Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World" is the song that best describes his story as he starts a new chapter in his life and career.
Piolo admits that he is still in shock with “Starting Over Again’s” phenomenal success. It is now one of the highest grossing Filipino films of all time with over P400 Million earnings.
But before the movie was released, the actor recently shared that he was thinking of ending his showbiz career.
“We're not getting any younger. My son is not getting any younger,” says Piolo. “I want to spend more time with him.”
He further adds, “I want be able to attend to some other stuff, do some other businesses. I've been so busy with work almost half my life, and I thought, you know, before I get married, at least I'll have time for myself, so I can still enjoy my bachelor life.”
Piolo also shares that aside from his son, the reason why the actor thinks he wants to retire is because he is considering having another child.
“So I can spend more time alone and just really smell the flowers, and you know, be on the lookout,” he explains.
But after his successful US concert tour, Piolo admits that there is still a reason for him to stay – the support and love of his fans.
Still, the actor says that there is a possibility of retiring in U.S. because he craves for a normal life.
“Kanina coming from Vegas, I flew alone,” he adds. “Maganda rin ‘yung anonymity, maganda rin na, you know, nandoon ka lang sa isang side and no one bothers you.”
As of the moment, he is not thinking of quitting his showbiz career just yet because he is grateful for everything the Lord has given to him.
Besides, the actor has a lot of projects coming up.
Piolo will star in ABS-CBN’s new teleserye, “Hawak Kamay,” where he will play the role of a man who will adopt five kids and there is also a project where he will team up again with Toni Gonzaga.
