Is it de ja vu? Or, did Myrtle Sarrosa really "copied" Jolina Magdangal's styling in her "Red Alert" album, under Star Records?
“Red Alert,” is Jolina’s first compilation album released last January 2001.It consists of original tracks and remixes of “All The Way,” “Angel For Life,” “Crying Time,” “Laging Tapat,” “May Hinahanap Ang Puso,” “Oh Babe,” “Paper Roses,” “Puppy Love,” “Smile,” “Sweet 16,” and “TL Ako Sa'Yo.”
Meanwhile, Myrtle’s self-titled debut album was released last April 2013.It has tracks such as “Mr.Kupido,” which is the carrier single of her album with “Bakit Pa,” “Mahal Ka Sa Akin,” “Mr.DJ," and “B.N.B Baliw Na Baliw,” which are also revivals.
But aside the cover of their albums being kind of alike; Jolina and Myrtle has also something in common.
Both are popular with the other teenagers during their respective times.
Back in her teenage days, she has been hailed as “Pinoy Barbie of the Philippines” because of the highly-successful release of Jolina dolls.
While Myrtle, winner of the “Pinoy Big Brother of the Philippines: Teen Edition,” has amassed strong following because of her participation in CosPlay activities. This made her one of the revered CosPlayers in the country.
Now, Jolina is busy as a mother of her new born baby, Pele. While, Myrtle is busy for her upcoming movie under Star Cinema,"Once A Princess," topbilled by Enchong Dee and Erich Gonzales.
