By Lista Macuja

1. Judy Ann Santos (Kahit Isang Saglit, 'Til There Was You, Don't Give Up On Us)

Judy Ann and Piolo was once the hottest love team in the land. Judy Ann's relateable persona and Piolo's undeniable good looks spelled magic.

Together, they starred in the hit series "Sa Puso Ko, Iingatan Ka" and "Sa Piling Mo." But their movie outings created the biggest impact to both their careers, making them the young superstar and ultimate leading man, respectively.

Their last movie "Don't Give Up On Us" is instantly a modern classic. It tells the love story of a career woman and a folk singer, and how their different worlds and beliefs shook their relationship. It was shot in picturesque Sagada.

2. Claudine Barretto (Milan)

Though very much identified with Judai, Piolo's team-up with Claudine in "Milan" was received warmly because of their gifts as actors, and the masterful direction of Olive Lamasan. The movie, which discusses the plight of Filipinos living in Milan, is one of the biggest hits of Star Cinema.

3. Angel Locsin (Love Me Again)

When the once-biggest star of GMA Angel Locsin transferred to ABS-CBN, she was given ABS-CBN's biggest actor Piolo to be her leading man. They both starred in the primetime series "Lobo," and eventually, they topbilled the movie "Love Me Again (Land Down Under)," shot in Australia.

The two have remained good friends.

4. Shaina Magdayao (OTJ)

Their on-screen partnership was never that romantic, but what is exciting is their relationship outside the cameras. News abound that the two are currently playing beautiful music together.

5. Toni Gonzaga (Starting Over Again)

Their first team up, a softdrinks commercial, made a star out of a then-unknown Toni Gonzaga. Now, more than 10 years after, Toni and Piolo reunites for "Starting Over Again," which promises to be another modern classic from Direk Olive Lamasan.

The movie is about second chances, and new beginnings.
