The ABS-CBN compound sparkled (figuratively, more so) last night, Dec. 9, as hundreds of stars gathered to shoot for the ABS-CBN Christmas Special, which is set for airing over the weekend.
A handful came in pairs – the reel and real-life love teams.
Sweethearts Luis Manzano and Angel Locsin had an adorable PDA moment backstage which was captured by the actress’ makeup artist Lala Flores.
Richard Gomez and Dawn Zulueta, who co-star in the upcoming Star Cinema movie “Crossroads” (with Bea Alonzo) and the Star Creatives series “Will Never Say Goodbye” (with Jessy Mendiola, JC de Vera, and Sam Concepcion) also took part in the event.
Two of the most popular love teams from then and now also crossed paths backstage the ABS-CBN Christmas Special, namely Jolina Magdangal and Marvin Agustin (MarJo) and Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla (KathNiel).

@marvinagustin) which came with a little backstory.
“Nakakatuwa etong dalawa nato, they came to us and told us na pinapanood nila movies namin�� best of luck to all your projects #KathNiel! God bless you more!,” he says.
Other onscreen pairs who attended the Christmas Special included Kim Chiu and Xian Lim (KimXi), James Reid and Nadine Lustre (JaDine), Nash Aguas and Alexa Ilacad (NLex), and Marlo Mortel and Janella Salvador (MarNella), and Julia Barretto and Iñigo Pascual (JuliNigo).
Apart from these romantic pairings, celebrity siblings were also at the ABS-CBN Christmas Special, notably Toni and Alex Gonzaga, as well as Shaina Magdayao and Vina Morales.
“Sisters from different mothers” Judy Ann Santos, KC Concepcion, and Sarah Geronimo also had a mini-reunion backstage event.

There’s also a special family number featuring the likes of mother-and-daughter Zsa Zsa Padilla and Karylle (with her husband, Spongecola front man Yael Yuzon), Martin Nievera’s son Robin, Gary Valenciano’s children Kiana and Paolo Valenciano, and Shaina Magdayao.
