Music idols Toni Gonzaga and Sarah Geronimo were among the Filipino artists that got special mentions in the BuzzFeed article, “20 Filipino Music Artists You Need To Listen Right Now”.
The list has photos and music videos of the featured artists which also include OPM icons Rico Blanco and Ely Buendia, as with bands Up Dharma Down, Taken by Cars, Urbandub, Mayonnaise, and Silent Sanctuary.
“Really grateful to be part of the list in Buzzfeed,” Toni says in an Instagram post (@celestinegonzaga) last Nov. 13. “Mabuhay ang OPM.”
The article notes Toni’s multiple talents and hit single “This Love is Like,” which was earlier featured in international radio network SiriusXM.
Sarah’s coaching duties on “The Voice of the Philippines” also got cited in the feature, as with her “empowering club anthem” titled “Tayo.”
