Gloc-9 wouldn’t be where he is today – a respected rapper and artist – if not for the people who believed in what he can do.
In his acknowledgment speech at the special screening of his documentary concert DVD titled “”Biyahe ng Pangarap last night, Nov. 9, at Robinsons Galleria, Gloc-9 made special mention of Skylight Films big boss Enrico Santos, former Star Records head.
It was Enrico who came across one of Gloc-9’s demo tapes, which showcased the promise and talent that the latter has.
In “Biyahe ng Pangarap,” Gloc-9 –Aristotle Pollisco in real life –recalls his journey from being the boy from Binangonan, Rizal who dreamed of telling his story through rap and music. 17 years and various jobs later, he’s become one of the most respected artists of this generation.
“Biyahe ng Pangarap” also includes a concert that features Gloc-9’s performances with Rico Blanco, Chito Miranda, Ebe Dancel, Cooky Chua, Maestro Ryan Cayabyab, Tippy Dos Santos, and Johnoy Danao.
The docu-concert is produced by Universal Records, with concept and co-writing by Gloc-9 himself.
Also present at the screening last night were action idol Robin Padilla, Tippy Dos Santos, Carl Guevarra, and Gloc-9’s wife Thea and two kids - twins Sean and Shaun.
