Irma Adlawan sees special kind of awkwardness between Enrique, Liza

Irma Adlawan, the mother figure (sort of) of Liza Soberano’s character in the upcoming series “Forevermore,” notices a special kind of awkwardness between Liza and her leading man Enrique Gil.

“Cute silang tingnan. Natutuwa ako that when they talk, especially in the tent, alam mo ‘yun.  They are trying, pero alam mo merong awkwardness, which is actually a start of something,” explains Irma, who portrays the role of Nanay Mirasol.

Irma further explains that when two people become too comfortable with each other, chances are they might not break free from the friendzone anymore. Liza and Enrique, she believes, are not in that zone.

Kapag masyado na kayong at ease sa isa’t isa, ‘ay wala ito diba? Ay friends lang ito.’ Kapag nararamdaman mo ‘yung awkwardness, meron silang ganung dynamics,” she adds, “It will somehow make you think na ‘meron ba? O wala?’ Nandun [sila] sa stage na ganon.

“Forevermore” will reunite Irma with Direk Cathy Garcia-Molina after “Got To Believe.” She has also appeared in the trilogy of Miggy-Laida love story (“A Very Special Love,” “You Changed My Life In A Moment,” and “It Takes A Man And A Woman”).
