Erich Gonzales no qualms about playing mother role again

After being Coco Martin’s leading lady in the fantasy series “Juan dela Cruz,” Erich Gonzales will play a single mother-turned-mistress-turned-wife in the local adaptation of the Koreanovela “Two Wives.”

The 24-year-old actress says she doesn’t mind taking on a mother role again, since it won’t be the first time she’d have a child on TV (recall “Katorse,” “Maria La Del Barrio”).

She also reveals that though the local production will remain loyal to the original story, she will offer a different take on her character Janine.

“For this, kasi may iba silang pine-peg na character for Janine sa role ko,” Erich says on “Aquino and Abunda Tonight” yesterday, Oct. 10.

Erich almost didn’t get the role because she was in Europe for a trip.

Ang thinking ko naman ay kung para sa’yo ang isang bagay, para sa’yo talaga,” she relates.

Erich co-stars with Kaye Abad and Jason Abalos in “Two Wives,” which premieres Oct. 13 on Primetime Bida.
