Remember “Dekada ’70”?
How about “Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo”
and its sequel “Sakal, Sakali, Saklolo”
And who can forget the sequels of “Ang Tanging Ina”? And currently, the top-grossing film “Sisterakas” followed by “One More Try” which has been the film entries for the last Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) on 2012?
These films have truly proven that Star Cinema is the country's number one film outfit, dominating the MMFF for the past decade, whether in box office receipts or the awards.
Now, for the 39th MMFF, Star Cinema has two entries – “Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” and “Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay” which are also expected to be blockbuster hits.
“Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy” which is directed by Wenn V. Deramas tells the story of quadruplets who were separated since birth due to the separation of their parents while “Pagpag: Siyam na Buhay” which is directed by Frasco S. Mortiz tackles the story of teenagers who has violated a lot of pamahiin or funeral superstitions.
