Who made the cut? And, who do you think will be 'The Voice Kids' Grand Winner?
Two boys and two girls compose the Top 4 finalists of “The Voice Kids,” as revealed Sunday night, July 20, at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
After a two-day public voting, it was announced that Team Sarah’s representatives – Lyca “Superstar” Gairanod and all-around performer Darren Espanto both made the cut, ranking first and second respectively in the total number of votes.
Team Bamboo’s charmer Juan Karlos Labajo came in third, followed by Team Lea’s Darlene “Girl on Fire” Vibares.
The episode opened with a Francis Magalona tribute from coaches Lea Salonga, Bamboo, and Sarah Geronimo with the Top 6 contenders.
An all-boys number featuring Darren, Juan Karlos, and Team Lea’s Ton-Ton Cabiles got the audience grooving as they performed “One Way or Another,” which was remade by British pop sensation One Direction.
The girls didn’t let the boys outshine them. Lyca, Darlene, and Team Bamboo’s Edray Teodoro sang the “Frozen” theme “Let It Go” that elicited a standing ovation from the audience and even the judges.
They also joined forces for a rock 'n roll number with OPM band Kamikazee.
Another highlight of the episode was co-host Alex Gonzaga taking on Taylor Swift’s “I Knew You Were Trouble” that received a hip hop-rap twist from Gloc-9.
The Top 4 finalists will battle it out for the coveted title next week. Who’s your bet? Vote in the poll below!
1. Lyca Gairanod (Team Sarah)
