This award-winning actor almost became a 'PBB' housemate

Christian Bables is slowly making his way to the top: he has worked in numerous indie films, won an acting award from the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival, and is starring in the upcoming film “Finally Found Someone,” but did you know his first audition didn’t go as smoothly as he wanted?

During his Star Cinema Chat earlier today, July 17, Christian revealed that he initially tried to win a spot in “Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition” in 2006.

“Alas-dos palang ng umaga, nakapila na ako doon, ang haba na ng pila buong compound talaga,” he shared.

But even though he came prepared and extra early, he didn’t make it to the screening process itself.

“Nung ako ‘yung papasok sa 'PPB' na hall, sabi sa akin ‘Cut-off na po.’ Nagmakaawa ako, sabi ko, ‘Kahit isa nalang, magaling po akong sumayaw at kumanta.’ Nagmakaawa ako, pero wala talaga eh,” he said.

But even though he wasn’t able to get in the reality show, he still considers himself lucky because he’s currently working with the “PBB Teen Edition” grand winner Kim Chiu.

“Dream come true talaga na maka-work si Kim sa ‘Ghost Bride,’” he related. “Masaya siyang ka-work, sobrang nagkaka-jive kami.”

“Ghost Bride” is directed by Chito Rono and also stars Matteo Guidicelli, Rio Locsin, and Alice Dixson, among others.

Meanwhile, “Finally Found Someone” stars John Lloyd Cruz and Sarah Geronimo, and is directed by Theodore Boborol. It will premiere in cinemas on July 26.
