Maris Racal admitted that she was deeply hurt by the backlash she received from that viral photo of her dancing on “ASAP”.
“Recently, grabe talaga ‘yung pamba-bash. As in grabe talagang bashing ‘yung nangyari sa akin. At first sobrang na-hurt ako,” she said in an interview held at the sidelines of her pictorial for the film “Bloody Crayons”.
She also defended herself, “Wrong angle lang ‘yun. Tsaka tama naman ‘yung ginawa ko. Sadyang may mga tao lang talaga na witty.”
When it gets too much, however, this is how she deals with them: “Grabe talaga akong mag-block kasi choice ko naman ‘yun. Ayoko lang talaga ng negative sa account ko.”
From that experience, Maris learned how to be stand tall against criticisms and brought her a clearer mind.
She shared, “For me, ang negative comment meron siyang good effect na nate-train ko ‘yung self ko na maging patient sa lahat ng bashing and parang to make myself better.”
Directed by Topel Lee, “Bloody Crayons” also stars Janella Salvador, Elmo Magalona, Sofia Andres, Diego Loyzaga, Jane Oineza, Yves Flores, Empoy, and Ronnie Alonte.
